Does it mean anything that Trump wore a blue tie to President Carter’s funeral?

Do you ever read into tie color worn by politicians?

I doubt it means anything. Trump wears blue ties pretty often, and seems to stick to primary colors whenever he can. It’s probably more about which suit he’s wearing than anything else.

No. Blue is more respectful than his normal red tie, in my opinion.

One thing I’ve never seen Trump wear, is a cross.
Yet he is Christian savior, to many.

Maybe they only make bullet proof ties, in blue. That’s going to have to change…

He actually had on the brightest blue tie of all of the presidents.

@Zounderkite Most politicians stick to primary colored ties lately. The US flag and the symbolic party colors are red and blue.

Perhaps it was in support of Israel…

Oh jeez, the NY Times is trying to read tea leaves into that fucking tie “He’s going to try to reach across the aisle” or some such bullshit.

Honestly, I think this is arbitrary

“In contrast to the boldness of red, blue neckties exude a sense of stability, trustworthiness, and reliability. Blue is often associated with calmness, integrity, and competence, making it a popular choice for politicians seeking to inspire confidence and reassurance in their leadership.”

It is like how we have all these weird things about flowers and colors for certain events.

You are giving Trump credit for nuance and thought that just isn’t there.
