And can you guess what it is?

That we should be eating better?
Remove corruption from health agencies?
Careful there @janbb drinking that much isn’t healthy.
To be fair, he has several good things on his agenda. Big thing I support is getting rid of food additives already banned in most of the world except for here.
Another is pharmaceutical advertising restrictions, streamlining FDA approval of certain drugs, ending “suppression” of “non-patentable” drugs, which is a thing.
@Blackwater_Park You hit one of the ones I’m thinking of. Pharmaceutical ads on TV. I can’t stand them. “We’ve made up this disease and invented this drug that might or might not kill you. and don’t use it if you’re allergic to it! Ask you doctor if _____ is right for you!”
That and people literally die waiting on the FDA to approve certain lifesaving drugs because of the bureaucracy. Then there are drugs that are not effective at all get through, some with nasty side effects. Then, there are common remedies for things that are known but not marketed, taught or generally shared with people in a position to help because it will hurt sales of other drugs. I could lament forever on how messed up the pharmaceutical industry is.
@Blackwater_Park But I don’t really trust that RFK will fix anything. I think he’s a kook and his anti-vaccination stances are really harmful.
@janbb I agree. There is a lot of lip service but ultimately, I don’t see any changes being made.
That he should keep his mouth shut?
I fully agreed with RFK’s opposition to the Vietnam War. ;-)
Is @Blackwater_Park a solitary remnant of the Yarnpocalypse?
I’m certain that I could find something to like, about anyone.
If he messes up our vaccines, not much else that I do like, would matter.
Just because he has the Kennedy name doesn’t mean he knows anything.
Coat tails are way to long here to ride.
Of course I can believe it.
@JLeslie Well, I almost can’t. I believe he’s a nut case. But the details asked you to guess what.
Of course. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
@janbb There are probably things you agree with Trump also, and Hitler for that matter. The good things they might do don’t matter if the evil is extreme.
I’ll guess. I haven’t listened to him recently so I might not be fully up to date on his ideas.
You already said the advertising you agree with. I’m actually ok with advertising.
I know he emphasizes good health to prevent disease, is that another? He seems to want to feed the country with organic fresh food by quelling what the government spends on certain medications. I don’t know if that means price controls or limiting access to expensive drugs.
He might ban high fructose corn syrup or put a big warning label. He seems to be outspoken about HFCS’s.
Funny, he sounded a little like Bloomberg several years ago when Bloomberg talked about limiting soda and the Republicans went crazy criticizing it. I didn’t agree with limits myself, but it’s interesting how so many just follow the leader they like and don’t think. If you like something that RFK Jr is saying but overall don’t like the guy, at least that shows you’re listening and thinking. That’s a good thing.
^Yeah. Hitler liked dogs. I like dogs!
^^Liked dogs, actually all animals I think. He thought smoking was a terrible habit. Increased the autobahn system across Germany influencing our own interstate system. Had an appreciation for the arts, although he tried to censor some of it.
The bad is what matters.
Just like a husband who earns a good living and the majority of the time is kind to his wife, if he beats her twice a year, the good doesn’t matter.
The problem with this logic is that people are a complete package. Even if you may like something in that person, you have to look at the whole package. It’s not like you can pick and choose.
You always here the stories about the neighbor of a murdered – “He was a really nice quiet guy.”
@Forever_Free Exactly right! The bad is what matters most. Is the bad that he leaves the cap off of the toothpaste? Or, is the bad that he plays Russian roulette aiming at his kids. Most people are nice most of the time, plenty have senses of humor, work hard at their jobs, it’s that other 10% of their personality that is imperfect, and what is the imperfection, what is the bad? Christians will say a sin is a sin. Bullshit. Some sins are worse than others.
