Can you cook spagetti in an air fryer?
Hoping to get one that replaces both my microwave and my stove.
I cook very little. I mean, it’s just me.

Maybe for a crunchy snack but not for actual pasta
Why not? (Who eats raw spaghetti??!!)
I am confused on what air fryer you are looking at. As far as I know, they cannot be used to boil water? I used one to make food more crispy.
Why can’t you boil water?
Hahaha!
Deep breath.
Hahaha!
Gasping for air.
Hahaha!
Dutchess what do you think an air fryer is? Not being condescending, I just don’t think you and I are talking about the same type of an air fryer?
Italy has officially declared war on you.
Well my daughter and I were discussing air fryers. I was thinking of the very few things I cook. I asked about English muffins with butter. She said that will work. So then we talked about pasta and instant oatmeal.
Dutch You’d probably do better w a toaster oven and a hot plate.
Because you’ll be able to cook the things you’re asking about with them. An air fryer is only for making fried foods without oil.
There are certain priests that only deal with inheritance and family wealth.
They are called ‘heir friars’.
Can’t you “cook” your instant oatmeal in a bowl, with just hot water? I thought that’s the whole point of anything “instant”.
For boiling water to make oatmeal, an electric kettle is probably easiest. For pasta, a hot plate. TV dinners can usually be cooked in a microwave, if you don’t want an oven. And for English muffins, you just need a toaster or maybe (if you’re fancy) a sandwich toaster. Please don’t fry your pasta. If you want it crunchy, it’s more economical to eat it dry.
My original answer was “God Save America”, but then I decided to be more polite.
I didn’t plan on frying pasta you guys! I meant could the water get hot enough in an airfryer to boil it the normal way.
Be nice Mod or I’ll have to report you!
Had no reason to try to boil water on the oven.
My basic point is, we cook by heating things. The only 2 factors involved are how hot (or how long) and the dirction the heat comes from.
For noodles the important factor is the rolling boil, which tosses the noodles around. Without it, they will stick together, and you will not get a rolling boil in an oven, or an air fryer.
That’s what I always thought too Raggy. But then I found that dropping them in before the water boils, then coming to a boil actually works just as well. And when you add them the water boils more quickly.
Just need to stir occasionally.
