If you've opened an account on Bluesky, what is your experience there?

Im considering it but to be honest, it doesnt look riveting. I do see Mar Cuban and others on the Left there.

I joined it, but I don’t get any back and forth that i do on Facebook.

I have an account. But haven’t been actively using it. More of a life boat in case we need to jump ship.

I use my bluesky account regularly, but mostly to post movie reviews and astronomy pictures. But that’s mostly what I use Facebook for also.

I have but its mostly a replacement for X , formally twitter and I didn’t use either of them. But once I have family and friends switch over then I plan to close my Facebook account. Its pretty user-friendly and lacking a ton of trolls that Facebook has. And now that there are no further safeguards on either facebook or x because Trump is rolling everything back, I’m going to switch as quickly as possible. Not only will there be more trolls but more spam will happen.

Can you use Bluesky on a desktop or is it only an app?

I signed up for it a while back but I just don’t find it as engaging either. It’s harder to find news stories. There is a news category but it has stories from all around the world. Not that I mind that in general but when I’m trying to see you more news as regards our country, it can be kind of frustrating.

I use it. I’m building my feed there. I’ve started following cats and LGBTQ things. I’m going to look for photography and flowers. It takes time to build, but I think it will be worth it.

I opened an account but not sure how much I’ll use it. I will play with it a bit. For those who want to find me there, I’m jerseyjan.bsky.social. It took forever to devise a user name that wasn’t taken. I’ve never used Twitter, X or reddit and it seems more like them on the face of it.

Okay, I just opened an account on Bluesky. tjwilson30.bsky.social.
I followed you @janbb and @Hawaii_Jake and a few others that were from here that are following @janbb.

I got some notifications from friends who are there, with their names.

I am not planning to join any time soon. I have a lot of memories and photos on FB but it’s good to know it’s available if I want to use it.
