In your opinion how will the American public react if Trump does invade Greenland, or Panama?
Just wondering?
Wonder if they care how the States will look like on the world stage if it did happen?

The normal half will react with horror and dejection, the other half will cheer, and come up with braindead rationalisations, justifications and excuses.
The idiots will support it.
Normal people will say that starting wars is not wise – in almost all recent wars, the initiator loses. Starting a war is not a strategic winner.
I’d be surprised and dismayed, as Reps are not the warmonger party.
fucking lol.
Went through a list of wars the colonies are/were involved in, and before I stopped, the only president who was not involved in one was Jimmy Carter.
Both parties are warmongering parties. The only difference between you is which wars you support.
^ re: Carter, see East Timor
@KNOWITALL – You know that these are not just tv personalities, right? These are all the same people waging the same brutal foreign policy. It doesn’t stop when a “D” or “R” admin changes.
I’d be disappointed for sure. One of the reasons Trump got elected is because he had no new wars on his watch and was ending the last of the ones he inherited. Now he has 2 that he has inherited and Americans don’t want more war.
But it should be noted that Trump cannot just unilaterally attack another nation. That is a declaration of war and that required Congress to approve it.
The MAGA hats will cheer him on and ask for more countries. SMDH
Maybe Czechoslovakia and Poland next ? ? “IYKYK
They will be renamed Trumpland and Panamaga respectively by executive order.
He has no interest in invading. Trump trolls and stirs the pot like this to get things he actually wants on the table.
The people involved that will have their lives ruined or worse are more important.
What some frumpy Americans think doesn’t matter.
Probably the same thing Germans thought about Poland in 1939
@seawulf575 you care conveniently forgetting the undeclared war in Vietnam
@elbanditoroso Yes, but Congress authorized military action in Viet Nam. This is pretty much the same thing that happened when Obama attacked ISIS inside Syria. So you are correct, I did misspeak, so to speak, but the effect is the same. Trump would need congressional approval, be it an authorization to use military action or a declaration of war. But I really don’t see either of these even coming to that point. Panama might come closer is China decides to try establishing a military presence there.
Can’t speak for the collective, but I would think he’s nuts.
We should not be taking on more people we cannot take care of. Small population or not. Leave them be.
@seawulf575 The Executive Orders from the last ten days show that Trump doesn’t give a rats ass about the Constitution, never has, and believes the immunity decision by the Supreme Court means he can ignore Congress.
If he tells Hegseth to invade Panama, the DoD will take out the Miraflores locks and sent up command in the former Trump Hotel in Panama City.
@zenvelo Despite your beliefs, Trump does care about the Constitution. He also cares about the country. And your understanding of the immunity decision is so out to lunch it isn’t worth discussing.
@seawulf575 REALLY he wants to end at least part of the Fourteenth amd maybe the 22nd too !
You are such a HOOT, your lying hero is in charge of a raging dumpster and the MAGAs are cheering him on.
Putin got his money’s worth
I don’t know what country Trump cares about but it isn’t the one I have admired for most of my life.
I’d be concerned about NATO, or some other alliance coming after us, although I might actually hope in that case that said nations would depose Trump and our current administration. But then help us recover our democracy.
It kind of makes you feel for the Russian people, many of whom are against the invasion of Ukraine. They had no say in the matter, but are suffering the consequences.
@LifeQuestioner the question then is if Article 5 even applies if a Nato country attacks another Nato country.
@ragingloli very good point, but I can’t imagine NATO, the ICC, etc. are going to indefinitely put up with us (Trump, really) threatening other countries)
@Tropical_Willie the 14th Amendment has moved from what it was originally put in place for. It is now being abused. By putting out an EO to stop birthright citizenship, he is forcing this case into the courts so the SCOTUS can get the final assessment and interpretation. That is what he is doing with that. As for the 22nd, I don’t see that one going away any time soon. Besides, it would take an act of Congress (literally) to amend the Constitution in such a way. So while all that makes great fearmongering, it isn’t much in the way of reality.
@seawulf575 ugh! (regarding the first part of your response), because of course that is what he is doing.
@LifeQuestioner I get it. But this is one of those things that needs to be challenged to get a clear interpretation. Not what we want it to be or what we think it means, but to get a clear resolution. We have way to many things like that which have been languishing out there, relying on individuals having to bring law suits that may or may not have any success in reaching the SCOTUS. This action will force it to the SCOTUS.
The intent of the 14th Amendment was to allow slaves, who were brought here against their will and had children while being enslaved, to get citizenship. It was part of the changes that occurred following the Civil War. It was not intended for people to rush into the country illegally, have a baby, and then get citizenship for the baby and the family that way.
So . . . in you humble opinion we don’t need or have a Constitution just do whatever AssHatt with his addiction to 16 diet cokes a day and 70 Big Macs and Filet o Fish a week . .
His band of felons, sexual abusers, ex-drug addicts and alcoholics will do anything to the people of this country . .‘cause the Tangerine Turd told them to . . cancel funds for Medicaid and other support services while looking at reducing taxes for Billionaires by TRILLIONS of dollars.
I wonder if his BFF Putin wished he was in the USA for get the benefits of being a Billionaire ? ?
Your view of the Constitution is the same as Trump’s – - just change it to support – - -ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ! @seawulf575
@Tropical_Willie Where did I even hint at that? Have we been laboring under interpretations of the Constitution? Sure. And those need to be challenged from time to time. If you feel that is wrong, then you believe that gay marriage should still be outlawed in many places, right? After all, that was an interpretation for a long time. Or should we just change it to support YOU YOU YOU YOU YOU YOU?
You hate the 14th Amendment because of birthright and TRUMP (in your opinion) should be President forever because he can “BIGLY FIX” – - – DEI and. LGBT+ anything the Democrats have done for the last 80 years back to FDR !
@Tropical_Willie You have me confused with someone have created in your mind. You don’t know me at all. And when I tell you what I think and what I feel, you refuse to accept that since it doesn’t match that person you hate. Stop being the annoying yappy dog.
You support “Chief-shit-n-pants” ending birthright which is part of th 14th Amendment, BUT you and your hero’s view the Constitution are – - change the laws to support Hitler wannabe . . .
You go to your anti-DEI or anti-Democrats meeting the GOP IS HOLDING !
I won’t say KKK meeting.
