Will Gaza be the next Maralago? Complete with a golf course, beach front access and many resorts? What other reason could trump want Gaza for?

What is the reason that trump wants Gaza? He has already said the residents need to move. He doesn’t want to rebuild for those that have lost everything.

Maybe he thinks he can buy the land for next to nothing, and make a fortune turning it into a posh resort area?
We need one of our frightwing friends to tell us we took this out of context, but ole felon47 seems to want to take over the world.
Waterfront hotels in Gaza with a huge T on them? No doubt he would like that. But I have a feeling, now, after this latest demand, that he has a much longer list of places he wants to take over. How about Ireland, Japan, Peru, half a dozen African nations—why not? All the better to gouge out their treasure and add it to his hoard. Musk may be the world’s richest man, but Trump is the greediest.
Is he clever enough to set Musk up for some massive crime charge—trumped up, of course—like what he’s doing right now to dismantle U.S. government—and then fine him billions as penalty?
I don’t think the Gaza takeover will really happen although it gave me a sleepless night last night. It is a beyond horrible idea and against all international accords. I think Trump was thinking with his ass again. At least I hope so.

Not sure where the surprise, shock, and awe is coming from. They are colonizers…..northern Europe wasn’t sunny and ethnic enough for you guys, so your only goal is making all the cool places suitable for you.
Just like a cancer, it won’t stop unless we cut you out or blast you with radiation.
I don’t think another Mar-a-Lago, but maybe housing, hotels, and commercial that he and his friends can build with government money. Basically thieving from the American people. Like Cheney and Halliburton.
Gaza should be beautiful. It’s a strip of land along the sea. It’s prime real estate. It’s as big as the city I live in.
The construction and hospitality industry could employ a lot of people. They might treat the Gazans like slaves though. Probably cheap labor.
The question is would the Gazan people actually welcome it assuming they will be able to live there? I can’t imagine a Palestinian being happy about any American building in Gaza let alone Trump. Would they be ok with other Arab countries helping rebuild? What about Hamas? They really have got to go.
Some of the Palestinians in Gaza feel strongly they should be in Israel. They left before the war in 1948 on the advice of Arab leaders and then not able to return when Israel won.
@JLeslie Trumpalot was talking about expelling the people when he took over the land.
^^I can’t see that happening. The Arab world won’t allow it. That’s what I think anyway.
Although, I learned today we give $770million to Jordan, so I guess we also maybe control Jordan a little, they probably don’t want that money to be pulled. Other Arab countries are making financial deals with Israel. The Palestinians could easily get screwed. I really see their only route as giving up on the river to the sea and make a reasonable deal.
To get the US to violate international law, and alienate its allies, for . . . Putin.
All while generating massive amounts of pork barrel projects, and devastating US relations in the Middle East, improving Russia’s relative position there.
It’s my understanding that this is what Miriam Adelson wants along with the complete ethnic cleansing of the West Bank. When you’re a top donor, Trump will do what he’s told.
I believe they walked it back already. He says outrageous things but not all of them happen.
It is against International Law. You now are owning a war with Hamas. Further proof the man cares nothing about people.
I read that since he put the idea out there, the damage has been done. And Netanyahu and the Israeli far right has embraced the idea. It is sickening.
I saw a news clip of a correspondent in Gaza speaking to a 10 year old boy yesterday who slammed Donald Trump for this. That to me was more telling than any other report.
Repeat after me:
ANYTHING than Trump says is a lie. Some are big lies. Some are small lies. But they are ALL lies.
Forgetting about the legal aspect of this, do you think that ‘redeveloping’ Gaza is possible in the first place? No water, lousy electricity, no airport, and lots of dry sand. No one is going to spend a trillion dollars developing Gaza, just to have it taken over by terrorists.
Stupid idea.
It is perfectly feasible as any Gazans who object will be shot.
On the news, last night they were doing man on the street interviews in Paterson NJ, which has one of the largest, if not the largest Muslim populations in the US. They asked people what they thought about Trump’s idea and they said no way. Forget about it.
@jca2 Dearborn has the largest Arab Muslim population in the US, over 200,000 last I looked. I just googled Patterson and it says 30,000. I didn’t know about Patterson until you mentioned it.
I just posted on the other Gaza thread a CNN interview of Arabs in Dearborn.
@@Jleslie yes, Paterson has the second largest Muslim population by percentage.
