What's the position of Netanyahu about turning Gaza into a resort?

Asked by luigirovatti (3012points) 2 hours ago

Trump is crazy, so it’s practically a safe bet he’ll invade Gaza with American troops, displace the Palestinians, level their homes, build spas, hotels, pools, etc. in their place.

To argue it, I should say that Netanyahu probably was in close contact with Trump and was expecting him to come up with this idea. We could also say that Netanyahu invaded Gaza so that Trump could do that very thing. He was banking on him triumphing in the elections.

On the other hand, it could also be argued that though Netanyahu and Trump are close allies, they don’t agree on everything, and he wanted to invade Gaza at all costs to occupy it for himself except Trump butted in. It could reasonably be argued, given the supposed covenant made between Abraham and God about the Jews having their holy land in Palestine, though it obviously includes Israel and possibly other places (namely, from Egypt’s river to the Euphrates).

I now realize this question has become extremely complicated. If you want to report it, I won’t say anything. Regardless of religious debate, I’d still like to know if you have any answers on this question, please.

I think Netanyahu is more concerned with Gaza being rid of Palestinians than he is about what is done with the land afterward. I doubt he cares much about a resort being built there. The point is that it should be empty of the people who are making annexation impossible.

Between them they have almost limitless power over the people of Gaza and not a shred of compassion.

I don’t know his mind but I can imaging he is overjoyed with the idea. His far right religious ally nutjob friends want to see the Palestinians all leave so they can settle it and build resorts.

Netanyahu has snookered Trump and his white christian supporters into doing his dirty work.

Netanyahu is a conniving piece of shit. And I say that with great respect.

I think his grinning while standing next to Trump tells us all we need to know. He could hardly contain himself.
