How was Anakin a Force Ghost at the end of "Return of the Jedi"?
I understand he saved Luke, but how was that him “turning” back to the Light side? He was the Dark side aaaallll the way up to that point, doing horrendous things.
That one act of saving his son and killing Palpatine was enough to convert him to good?
I find that odd. I am not sure that was “good” enough to redeem him.

My guess is that you don’t have to be good to be a force ghost?
I thought that too, but he was literally right next to Yoda and Obi-Wan. Unless they forgave him maybe? He did basically sacrifice himself.
@MakeItSo1701 On a side note, who was the actor who played Anakin’s force ghost in , “Return of the Jedi”?
Sabastian Shaw or Hayden Christensen? Google lists both, I don’t know which version I watched I guess
Think of being a force ghost as a trick Jedi can use to communicate between living and dead Jedis and Sithh. Obi Wan didn’t want the Sith to know of this power, so he told Luke he could not interfere when Luke faced Vader or the Emperor.
I understand that, yes. Was he converted to a Jedi then?
