Does the Paragon scandal in Italy still not convince you there's a conspiracy at large?

Everything started with Francesco Cancellato, director of Fanpage, an online newspaper, who previously investigated scandals within Meloni government, among which the Lobby Nera (Black Lobby) (https://www.fanpage.it/backstair/story/lobby-nera/) and National Youth (https://www.rainews.it/articoli/2024/06/inchiesta-fanpage-su-gioventu-nazionale-dimissioni-e-polemiche-su-frasi-e-audio-rubati-ai-giovani-295cb18f-3f3a-4a98-975e-8ba9dad253a9.html).

As I was saying, Cancellato all of a sudden received a Whatsapp Support notification in which he read that he was hacked. Thanks to CitizenLab, of Toronto University, suggested from the same Whatsapp, he discovered he was put in a WhatsApp group, and in that group was sent a pdf document, which he didn’t click. He merely viewed the double tick on WhatsApp, and immediately he was infected. He immediately read the news (here: https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2025/jan/31/whatsapp-israel-spyware) and discovered that the spyware was named Graphite and the company that owned this very sophisticated software was Paragon Solutions, an Israeli agency. Now, Paragon Solutions is not the bad guy here, because in its terms of service, which you can check, it’s written that it sells this technology only to governments to spy terrorists, hackers, or criminals. Not journalists.

He was not the only Italian, or person in the world, spied by Graphite. 6 other people were spied, with Cancellato they’re seven. (last link) The people in total spied were 90.

Feb. 5, 2025, however, the Italian government denied having any contact with Paragon. However, given the links I’ve given you, I can assure you it’s not true.

I think Cancellato and the others were spied for their investigations or their activism in certain areas.

Now, the opposition itself is discussing what happened (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-7-w7eYGDI). In the light of what I just described, do you really think the Italian government is trying to build a dictatorship through conspiracy?
