Would you like to see how Project 2025 is going?

Isn’t it funny that so many of those things that have been completed are things the American people wanted? They were tired of DEI so action was taken to support their desires. We know that is a desire of the public and not some trash from Project 2025 by all the blow back that was happening from the public against DEI. Bud Light got creamed. Disney got creamed. Many other companies got creamed all because the majority of the people were tired of having DEI rammed down their throats.
The same answer goes for sealing the border, budget cuts, investigating where the tax dollars are going, etc. The American people are fed up with it all.
Here’s a thought for you: Most Americans have never read Project 2025 so they wouldn’t know what was in it. All they knew was what the leftists were trying to fear-mongering about. So if they hear the fear-mongering of the left and say “Gee, that sounds like something I could support”, what does that tell you about those that were so dead-set against those things in Project 2025? I have mentioned on these pages many times that a lot of what was in there were conservative ideals. The progressive ideals have been foisted on Americans for long enough for many to realize they are damaging to the people and the country. They basically started looking at the more common sense ideas of the Conservatives and liked what they saw.

What is with this DEI bullshit! I am so SICK of hearing about this. God forbid people encourage diversity. Oh my God black people on TV shows? Gay people on TV shows?? They are shoving DEI down our throats!!!! Nevermind the 20minute long straight sex scenes, the fact that most shows have mainly white actors, almost every couple shown is straight, that is chill and totally not shoving a specific population down our throats. Weird.
Plane crashes? Probably some DEI pilot. My fastfood sucks? Some DEI hire. I can’t tie my shoes? DEI hire made them wrong.
It would be one thing if ya’ll had valid complaints. But you don’t. The vast majority of companies are not going to hire random people solely because they aren’t a straight white man. But if a black woman has more qualifications, damn right they should hire! That isn’t wrong! I don’t even like labeling it as DEI, because you are literally just hiring someone for the damn job!!!!!
If anybody can give me valid sources as to how DEI is ruining this country and
how it is promoting reverse discrimination all over this country, I will love to hear it. Because as it stands right now, anyone against it just comes across as uneducated and racist. Everytime I hear about this, the complaints are the most idiotic things I’ve ever heard (“The Acolyte is woke DEI because it has a diverse, female lead cast”,“Video games are becoming woke DEI because they are having more diverse characters, and the women are actually dressed!”)
If you don’t want DEI shoved down your throats, then shut the fuck up. At this point YOU are the only people that give a fuck and keep using it as a talking point! Other people don’t care because DEI is just being a decent human being!!!!!
Those companies got “creamed” because idiots can’t fathom that people who look different than them exist. Hiring people you aren’t comfortable being around or seeing on TV, whatever, is not DEI. Sorry to say.
People have a right to exist and be seen. Fuck your feelings.
@MakeItSo1701 “God black people on TV shows? Gay people on TV shows?”
DEI also refers to women (including white women who are often surprised to learn that they’re the largest beneficiary of DEI practices), veterans, religious, economic, rural, disabilities and other categories. MAGA is too stupid to realize that most of them are DEI.
Yes, I agree. Good point to bring up. You usually only hear complaints when it applies to certain demographics.
All I know is, inflation hasn’t dramatically tanked since Trump took office as he claimed it would. In fact, it’s actually ticked up slightly. Now, I might say that the president doesn’t have all that much to do with inflation rates, but that certainly wasn’t the campaign message. Regardless of the rest of the “Project”, if shit’s still expensive, then Trump isn’t “succeeding” as much as he claims.
@SQUEEKY2 Snopes is a great source with so many rumors.
This link shows proof via quote they were at normal employee status, not short-staffed.
Also the probationary employees were fired last Friday and the first of the four accidents you referred to occurred Jan 29th.
The only thing he’d had time to do was the hiring freeze memo.

@Demosthenes Things were high last year which screwed us all for 2025 anyway, you cant give Trump more than a month?
As much as I don’t like the guy, we should give more than a month before we are too harsh.^ Doubt it or believe he will do it, takes time.
So agree with you

@gorillapaws Except DEI is based on the idea that white people, white men in particular, are somehow the favored group. So it doesn’t include white men. It specifically excludes them. Sorry to break that to you as well. It is racist and sexist and designed to divide and destroy our society. Look at what is being said on these pages.
What is funniest about all this is that I am the one that doesn’t care one whit about what color your skin is, what sex you are, what your sexual preferences are…none of that matters to me. It is only the ones that are incensed about DEI going away that are obsessed with that. People like yourself, for instance.

@seawulf575 Veterans (yes white males) are included in DEI practices. Rural white males are also included in DEI. The point is have a DIVERSE set of people from many different backgrounds, because that’s a strength. Veterans make workplaces more diverse. They have unique experiences and training that can benefit a workforce.

@gorillapaws Obviously you have no idea what it is like to be a veteran. I have NEVER received any benefit from being a veteran except as the experience I earned in the service played into. That is meritocracy, not DEI. I know that being a veteran can be a protected status under the Civil Rights Act of 1964…I cannot be discriminated against because I am a veteran. But that is not DEI. DEI is giving preferential treatment to some groups but not all groups. It starts with the idea that at least one group is given preferential treatment and DEI is going to put a halt to that by pushing other groups into positions. They have to have some basis for looking at diversity, equity, and inclusion. By definition, you have to start with the idea that one group has been getting preferential treatment so that you can compare other groups to it.
And it puts that divisiveness well ahead of meritocracy.

@KNOWITALL @MakeItSo1701 I meant what I said that I do not think that who is in the White House has much to do with inflation. I brought it up because, even if that’s true, I think that is what Trump will be most judged by, not whatever is in “Project 2025”, so that is what I’m keeping an eye on. Of course it will take more time to tackle inflation, but we are already judging Trump on everything else, so this gets to be included as well. “Shock and awe” can abolish DEI, but it can’t make your groceries more affordable.
Now one thing I will give Trump credit for is that illegal crossings at the border are down, in accordance with campaign promises. And I actually think this has more to do with Trump’s general messaging and the “vibes” that presents than it does with, say, sending more military personnel to the border. If people think they won’t get into the country, they won’t come. And who is in the White House absolutely affects that perception.
@seawulf575 I can assure you there are many veterans receiving DEI benefits because of their veteran background (or at least there were). Maybe you think that’s a bad thing, but I would disagree. I don’t have to be a veteran to figure that one out.
@gorillapaws ” I can assure you there are many veterans receiving DEI benefits because of their veteran background (or at least there were). Maybe you think that’s a bad thing, but I would disagree.”
How can you assure me of that? What is many? How do you know they weren’t the best choice for the job and only got it because they were checking a box of diversity? The only way you could guarantee that is if you were the one hiring them or you worked at a place where it was known that they were going to fill jobs based on certain quotas…veteran being one of them.
And yes, I do think that if they only got a job because of their veteran status and not their ability then it is a bad thing. Any time you do that…give a job for any reason other than meritocracy…you are hurting everyone involved. The business is not getting the best qualified candidate, the co-workers will look at that person (especially if they aren’t good at the job) as someone that didn’t earn the position, and the person that gets the job will always feel like they weren’t the best choice for the job but only got it for an esoteric reason.
Ah, misunderstood then. Thank you for clarifying.
I have no clue about inflation. Wasn’t going to respond but got annoyed by the DEI talk.
Regardless, this will be interesting.
