How do I get over the habit of taking my new glasses off when I start reading?
I recently got new glasses for being near-sighted.
I keep getting into the habit of lifting my glasses on my forehead when I start reading books and online.
Is it a problem?
I asked my eye doctor and she said that my glasses are meant to be to see the television.

So if you can see close, you shouldn’t need to take them off if you are reading, unless you need to hold the book 2 inches from your face?
If it is for a TV you should be good taking it off.
However, if you were on your phone or reading as you were watching TV, you’d probably want to keep them on. Or if taking them on/off often is making you dizzy then pick one.
@MakeItSo1701 Its the middle images that are blurry. Near and far are ok. I coined the phrase (middle sighted) years ago on Fluther.
Without the glasses I cannot read the time on my oven clock from my living room.
Everything else is moderatly ok.
Okay, but when you are reading a book or online things, how is your sight
@MakeItSo1701 My brain gets all jumbled when I read a book or anything more complicated than a menu.
I will see if it is my eyes or brain. I am trying eye drops, and glasses. I will ask my family doctor on March 6th.
My reading comprehension is important to me. If I was to go back to university.
Okay. If you are straining or squinting when reading then wear glasses. If not, and you can read clearly (visually clearly I mean), then you probably need them.
