What is the "talking broom" secret in Final Fantasy 1 nes game?

In the original NES game, talking to Matoya’s broom would bring up a dialogue that says

….TCELES B HSUP
A magic spell?

It was a backwards message that hinted at how to bring up the world map: push B and select at the same time (TCELES B HSUP is the reverse of PUSH B SELECT). In other versions of the game, the broom’s message is changed to reflect the system it was made for. On the PlayStation, for example, the broom says “Elcric d’na, trats,” which is “Start and Circle” backwards.
