[potentially NSFW] Back in the old days, pre-videotape and videocam, where did people get their sexy home movies developed?

In college I had a friend who worked at one of those photo developing booths. She made copies of some of the more scandelous pictures she would come across. She had a whole book of them. People either did not care, or just assumed it was anonymous. Of course, it was not. Home developing was a thing back then.

I’m guessing when someone worked in a photo developing lab, there were thousands and thousands of photos, so some were seen by employees but many were missed. There were probably employees who didn’t care about it. If someone didn’t use a commercial developing service, they’d have to have had their own darkroom, or use a friend’s, where nobody from outside would see what was being developed.
