Did President Trump confuse the Ukrainian leader with the Russian leader when he called Vladimir a dictator?
They have both first names of Vladimir.
Trump denied to reporters that he said that.

I expect he just doesn’t remember saying it. He thoughtlessly makes BS up pretty much constantly. Either that or he’s simply lying about not remembering saying it.
Confuse, no.
Insult, yes.
Set him up and gang up on him with JD today, yes.
A sad day for Americans.
@Forever_Free I had to turn tv off as too disturbing. I’m still bothered, but might be from the cherry strudel and orange juice.
At least the cherry strudel and orange juice was more intelligent and satisfying.

No. He called him a “dictator” because he wants to deligitimise Zelensky and Ukraine’s struggle for existence as a whole. That is also why he tried to pin the blame for the war on Ukraine, and refused to call Russia the aggressor in this war. This includes voting “no” on the UN resolution condemning Russia for the invasion. All of it is done to “justify” eventually cutting off all aid to Ukraine, and very likely actively supporting Russia.
If Zelensky was actually a dictator, the Orangutan would love him.
