Was V'ger destroyed in Star Trek 5? (Warning contains Spoilers from Star Trek 1 and 5)
From the Klingon commander?
For target practice?

Both movies were so awful I try to forget them.
No, Decker fused with it, that was what it wanted. I don’t think we know what happens. It stopped being violent and so maybe it is out looking for information like it was about its creator.
I don’t think its in 5? I just watched it but it was so bad I don’t remember.
Edit: I looked up what it turns into and it is a new lifeform, a mix of AI and humans.
No, as @MakeItSo1701 thought, V’ger is not in Star Trek V, at all.
The Klingon ship in V does blast the entity, not for target practice but after Spock negotiated with him, and because Kirk had rescued him from capture by Sybok earlier, so returning the favor.
Why did you think V’ger was in Star Trek V?
@Zaku In the beginning of the movie the Klingon commander shoots a NASA probe, with golden disk and all. Then he complained that he needs something that shoots back.
Oh! Right . . .
No, that also wasn’t V’ger.
It was Pioneer 10

@Zaku Thanks. That’s exactly what I was looking for.
V’ger ascended to godhood. What the klingon destroyed was another unrelated probe.
