What do you think about Canadians having to be finger printed if they are staying more than 30 days in the United States?

A Canadian woman in my Zumba class yesterday said she might not be back next year, and told me Trump is going to fingerprint Canadians staying over 30 days and that someone here where we live said something rude to a Canadian friend of hers. She said she is feeling it might get very hostile in the US.

I think the rude comment is a one-off, I don’t even understand why any American has a problem with Canadian visitors maybe someone can explain it to me.

Most Canadian snowbirds that I know come to the US for 3–6 months.

I don’t think being fingerprinted is a big deal if staying a long time, although in general our Big Brother society is scary and it is only getting worse. Plus, it is more administrative or processing work.

I don’t understand why only Canadians, or is it actually proposed for all travelers staying over 30 days?

Extra bonus: Are you finger printed? DisneyWorld has my right forefinger print and the US immigration service has a full set of my prints.
