I’m really disappointed that Schumer continued the resolution and sold out House Dems after they voted it down and apparently, they had agreed to follow the House Dems but Schumer sold out the Nation by accepting a false choice and selling out Democracy. Its time for a new leader.
I think all future fights should go to someone who has the will to fight for our democracy but I’m not sure who. I think Chris Murphy would be great because he comes with charts for idiots to follow. But I don’t know how effective of a leader he would make.

Chris Murphy or Jeff Merkley. They both are passionate progressives.
AOC. She tells it like it is.
@ragingloli Yeah, I think so so but as @janbb pointed out, she’s not a senator. I would love for her to run as a senator. I think she will be a great addition to the senate. But honestly I would love it if she could run as minority leader in Congress. I like Jefferies and I think he is a fine leader, but maybe a little gullible. You need someone like AOC who doesn’t trust easily. Like she probably wouldn’t have trusted Schumer.
In the future, I would want Schumer to put his promises in writing. No, I’ll wait and see bull shit

How would anything get done with AOC. She would likely be an obstructionist with the current situation. Not that it matters, because as everyone has said she is not a Senator. I’m not sure she could win in NY as a Senator. It would depend on who else was running in the primary. NY shifted a little more to the right recently. AOC wins in a heavily minority district. Not that I don’t know a lot of people who think she’s great, I do.
I think Schumer should have negotiated better and and asked for some things, he did cave too fast. I honestly don’t know what was in the bill exactly. I don’t know specifically what Democrats were upset about.
I don’t know who would be best. It will be interesting to see who rises to the top for the Democrats over the nect 3 years.
I’ll be following the Q. I’m interested to see who jellies suggest. GQ.
@JLeslie AOC has come a long way in a short time and has matured a great deal. Unlike some on the right that keep up with their lunacy. She always had the passion but lacked caution and maturity. Now I feel she has become more careful about picking her fights and how to approach them so she can win instead of turning people off. There is always a fine line between passion and temperance. I think she’s close to getting there. One way to far to either side can make you seem aggressive, and the other way, too passive.
For those wondering what was in the CR read this list.
@Pandora She does seem to have calmed down a little. You might be right. I would be willing to listen to her POV again. I doubt a completely align with her, but maybe I wouldn’t be so exasperated by her. I know someone who knows her and he thinks she should run for president.
Yeah, I don’t think Misogynistic America will ever see a female President.
@Pandora I disagree. I definitely think a woman can win. I think Hillary would have won if the Democrats hadn’t attacked her. I don’t think the Democrats will run a woman for a while though. I don’t think AOC could win, I’m one of those Democrats who thinks too far left can’t win. I know a lot of people disagree.
My leader would be Bernie Sanders, but given how too many Democrats are, Jeff Merkley would also be a great choice IMO, and perhaps more effective since his expressions tend to be more mainstream, even though he is on the right (IMO) side of practically every issue.
Fetterman. He seems to be the only dem in the Senate who gets it.
Amy Klobachar get sh&t done and works across the aisle. At one point she had the best record for getting legislation passed. Maybe still does,
Why the fuck would anyone want the Democrats to work across the aisle? Republican policies are being rejected by voters of both parties! For fuck sake. People hate the Democratic Party because they’re too far right.
I’d love to know who is radical left, what their top marginal tax plan is and then compare it to the 90% top marginal tax rate under the REPUBLICAN Eisenhower. As to the question. I think Bernie is a much better leader. We’d be enjoying his 2nd term if it weren’t for this moronic logic.
