What is your "can't stop, won't stop eating" Easter candy?

Asked by janbb (63443points) 4 weeks ago

I cannot stop myself from consuming jelly beans, the classic solid sugar kind. If a bag comes into the house, it is gone within a day.

What Easter candy does that to you? Peeps? Bunny ears? Cadbury’s creme eggs?

Just a fluff question here.

Reese’s eggs. So much better than some of their other shapes. It must be the chocolate to peanut butter ratio.

Those speckled bird egg things with chocolate in them. peeps and jelly beans, too

^^ I’m not big on Peeps but I love those Cadbury mini-eggs.

Growing up Jewish, in a Jewish neighborhood, we weren’t exposed to that much Easter candy.

We did fill up on (Purim) Hamantaschen, however.

Jew here but I do like me some Cadbury creme eggs. Peeps are disgusting.

^^ They’re my son’s favorite too. I send him some every year.

Jewish, and I love Cadbury cream eggs, although I control myself to one or two. We didn’t have them as young children, I discovered them as a teenager. My mom’s side of the family are chocoholics and artists, so Easter was a good excuse for chocolate and dying eggs. My grandfather always gave me a chocolate bunny and the colorful eggs were a project with my mother. We went to the town easter egg hunt also. I loved it. Easter colored M&M’s sound really good to me right now also. I loved peeps when I was a kid, now they would be too sugary I think. Nice memories.

Hamantaschen are good too. I like raspberry and apricot. We didn’t celebrate Purim, but I like the cookies.

I don’t know if this exists, but I could go for a dark chocolate egg filled with chopped almonds, and either coocoonut or raisins.

JLeslie's avatar

@Brian1946 Make it. Mounds candy, almonds, raisins, you could eat it like a trail mix. Add dark chocolate cc bits if you need more chocolate.

I’m with @chyna about the Reese’s thing. Your logic is impeccable.

Interesting. I like the Reese’s thins. Basically just the opposite of the eggs regarding ratio.

If you love sweet peanut butter, I highly recommend the peanut dressing at Cheesecake Factory. They have two peanut dressings. One is like a vinaigrette (not a fan) and the other is thick and sweet and delicious. They serve it with lettuce wraps, but I buy a jar and use it on salads or with chicken and rice or like a dip for veggies. It’s so good.

Yeah, the eggs are filled with malted milk – love them!

I think I’m probably the only one ever who doesn’t like Cadbury eggs. yuk Don’t even like looking at them.

canidmajor's avatar

You’re not alone, @smudges, I have always found them to be way too cloying, and I don’t like the texture of the filling.

janbb's avatar

^^ But there are two kinds of Cadbury’s eggs. I also don’t like the creme eggs which are too sweet IMHO but the little mini eggs with the shells and chocolate are quite lovely!

canidmajor's avatar

Well, damn. Just what I need, more candy to crave!! ;-)

KNOWITALL's avatar

Malt balls and jelly beans, either classic or exotic fruit.
Usually I get one Cadbury caramel egg a year.

Forever_Free's avatar

OMG I am craving candy now!!!!!!

LifeQuestioner's avatar

Probably jelly beans, but I count mine out so I don’t have more than I’m allowed to have because I have to watch my carbs. And black jelly beans are the best!

smudges's avatar

My faves are the reds

janbb's avatar

I love the orange ones.
