Skunk. It reminds me of country walks from my childhood. (And I smell it more often lately somehow. ~)
Petrichor-The steamy earth after a rain. I love it!
And frito feet & tire shops.
The scent inside of an ice skating rink. It is very distinctive, yet subtle. Most people wouldn’t even think about it or would think it’s an odd scent.
Leaded gasoline (no brain cells lost)

I wonder if that’s the same smell in the early spring when the snow is melting after having it on the ground all winter? I love that!
@smudges Maybe but by definition, its the first rain after a long period of warm, dry weather.
^^ Ok, I see. Mine is probably not it then. But I LOVE when the snow is melting in VT…can almost smell it now.
Petrichor / the smell of rain in the air before it rains
Newborn baby smell (kinda smells sweet but weird, mixed in with baby vomit)
Petrol
Old books and bookstores – kinda musty, dusty… something
