Do you have a specialty, meaning a food item or a recipe that you think you cook particularly well? A meal or item that you are proud of and that people praise? Or if you don’t serve it to others, just something that you think of as your signature or special dish?

People ask me for homemade pies the most. Strawberry and apple, some peach or cherry. All our local fresh fruits (not store-bought)

I’m good at popping popcorn. I use virgin olive oil and Jolly Time popcorn. Use an electric stove burner on high. They key to getting good popcorn is shaking the pot vigorously throughout the popping process.

My Grandmother’s Sunday Gravy that I adapted into my version.

Revealing my recipe became part of a legal dispute with my ex wife.

@Kardamom Id be interested in the spinach mushroom recipe if you’re willing. Looking to keep protein but use less red meats. :)

This thread is making me hungry, since yesterday when I asked it. I started thinking of all the things – lasagna, beef stew, oatmeal cookies with dried cranberries and walnuts, everything sounds good.

I am good at making Froot Loops. I grab two handfuls, in a bowl, and add skim milk. Then I smoosh the Froot Loops so that they all soften in the milk.

Also bacon and eggs. I pre bag, and freeze in 4 strips at a time on a ziploc freezer bag. That way I only cook what I need. Also I cook the bacon first, and fry over easy eggs in the bacon grease.

In the late 90’s I worked at A&W as a fry cook. My burgers where as good as SpongeBob SquarePants. How? I found the instructions hiden in a pile of stuff, and I followed the instructions.
