What do you think about that woman that hit President Trump in the face with a boom mic?

Asked by KRD (5308points) 1 day ago

So about a week or so ago a woman who was interviewing President Trump on the tarmac at Peterson Air force Base hit Trump in the face with a boom mic. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14508649/npr-reporter-hit-trump-mic-hiding-named-maga-danielle-kurtzleben.html. I want to know your thoughts about this and how this is a potential security issue.

This is my first time hearing about it. I see one of the headlines in the article is that she “smashed him in the face” with the mic. I don’t consider that a smashing. To me, a smashing is twenty times harder than that and a smashing would have gotten her tackled by the SS. I see it as a mistake and not worthy of having people call for her demise to make her go into hiding.

Others may say it was awful and terribly disrespectful. I don’t feel that way. If anyone can say they did their job 100% perfectly, every single day, I say they either deserve a medal or they’re lying.

As jca2 said, it’s BS. People thinking their social media conversations are wiser on issues of security of boom mikes than the Secret Service, are preposterous.

Besides, Trump is the security risk. He should never have been allowed back in the White House.

I expect Krasnov to make an announcement postehaste:
“The attempt on my life has left me scarred and deformed, but I assure you my resolve has never been stronger. The war is over. The Sepratists have been defeated, and the Jedi rebellion has been foiled. We stand on the threshold of a new beginning.

In order to ensure the security and continuing stability, the Republic will be reorganized into the first Galactic Empire, for a safe and secure society, which I assure you will last for 10,000 years. An Empire that will be continue to be ruled by this august body and a sovereign ruler chosen for life. An Empire ruled by the majority, ruled by a new consitution.

By bringing the entire galaxy under one law, one language, and the enlightened guidance of one individual, the corruption that plagued the Republic in its later years will never take root. Regional governors will eliminate the bureaucracy that allowed the Separatist movement to grow unchecked. A strong and growing military will ensure the rule of law.

Under the Empire’s New Order, our most cherished beliefs will be safeguarded. We will defend our ideals by force of arms. We will give no ground to our enemies and we will stand together against attacks from with or without. Let the enemies of the Empire take heed: Those who challenge Imperial resolve will be crushed.

We have taken on a task that will be difficult, but the people of the Empire are ready for the challenge. Because of our efforts, the galaxy has traded war for peace and anarchy for stability. Billions of beings now look forward to a secure future. The Empire will grow as more planets feel the call, from the Rim to the wilds of unknown space.

Imperial citizens must do their part. Join our grand star fleet. Become the eyes of the Empire by reportingsuspected insurrectionists. Travel to the corners of the galaxy to spread the principles of the New Order to barbarians. Build monuments and technical wonders that will speak of our glory for generations to come.

The clone troopers, and proudly wearing the name of Imperial stormtroopers, have tackled the dangerous work of fighting our enemies on the front lines. Many have died in their devotion to the Empire. Imperial citizens would do well to remember their example.

The New Order of peace has triumphed over the shadowy secrecy of shamful magicians. The direction of our course is clear. I will lead the Empire to glories beyond imagination.

We have been tested, but we have emerged stronger. We moved forward as one people – the Imperial citizens of the first Galactic Empire. We will prevail. Ten thousand years of peace begins today.”

If the soft fluffy boom mic thing was intentional, it should be condemned because it was only a soft fluffy boom mic.

I wouldn’t even call it a hit. I’d call it an accidental tap.

But most important don’t forget to blame the radical lefties.

I’d suggest that hitting someone in the face when you are trying to ask questions is extremely unprofessional. As a potential security risk? It could be any number of things. The “fluffy microphone” could have had a hidden blade in it, it could have had a biological agent on it, it could have been any number of things. In this case it was completely innocuous, but the potential is there.

Wulfie sure if there was a sinister element, has anyone checked the mic for any kind of hidden weapon?
Of she simply could have just been a bit klutzy with it and it was 100% accidental.
But we should still blame the evil lefties.

@SQUEEKY2 Read again, dude. The question was what our thoughts were about the event and what potential national security issues it presents. I answered both parts of that. The report was unprofessional and there are potentials for national security even though there were none on this event. That was my answer. Where in there did I mention lefties? And what did I say that was wrong?

I think it was likely a mistake, was it windy? Did she lose her balance? Some of those mic’s you need to be an inch away.

If she hit him on purpose, then she obviously should not be allowed near the president again.

Probably intentional, a little funny and no harm done. A little blowback is probably worth the street cred. Ha!

With the news in these momentous days the trivial is paramount.

Interesting how people can judge that a person can never make a mistake. Give it a rest MAGA.
