Recommend me a new movie, please! (Details)

Asked by canidmajor (21820points) 22 hours ago

Have you seen anything in the theater since January 1st this year that you liked? Or heard of something fun coming out soon?

I haven’t seen much in theaters in recent years, and I kinda miss it.
What did you see?
What are you looking forward to?

Get the popcorn out, kids!

The Brazilian movie “I’m Still Here” is fantastic. I believe it’s available streaming, possibly for pay.

There is a Norwegian movie you might want to check out:

Although it was characterized as a flop this morning, I saw “The Alto Kings“over the weekend. DenIro was brilliant playing two principal roles. A well done movie!

Black Bag was also excellent, although the British accents were a bit of problem for this west coast ear.

Many of my friends loved Wicked with Ariana Grande, Peter Dinklage, Michele Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, etc..

A Complete Unknown, about Bob Dylan was very good.

I just saw Anora last night, streaming. I liked it.

I wanted to see Becoming Led Zeppelin but it’s mostly not in theaters now, so I have to wait for streaming.

Also good were Conclave and It Ends With Us.

Becoming Led Zeppelin was quite good in the theatre setting.
I saw an early screening of Viet and Nam this past weekend. Spellbinding!

I highly recommend Adolescence on Netflix. Four hours and I watched it all in one sitting. Interesting note: Made with one take (unbelievable).

@SnipSnip. No, each episode was made with one take, not one take for the whole four episodes.
