When you leave your home where do you normally carry your smart phone?
You don’t want it to be stolen or accidentally dropped but you do want it to be readily accessible. How do you resolve this conundrum.

In my backpack or pocket usually. Might not solve the conundrum, but I put it in my chest pocket on my jacket. My bag is zipped up on my back and I can tell if someone is messing with it.
I have a mini so I can keep it in my pants pocket.
I went into a head shop and bought what my son calls a pipe bag. It’s a woven and lined zip pouch made in Guatemala, a little bit bigger than the phone, brightly and beautifully embroidered, with a sturdy loop on one end. I keep my phone with me around the house as well as going out, and this little pouch makes it easy to carry—and to spot in whatever odd place I set it down.
I also stitched a business card inside for when I leave it in the women’s restroom at Target.
I carry a pocketbook aka a handbag, so I keep it in there.
In the car, it’s on the seat next to me or on my leg.
I never keep it in my back pants pocket because if I forget and it drops into the toilet, it would be a disaster.
Usually in my purse. Once in a very blue moon in a pocket of my capri length leggings, but I hate the weight of it dragging down my leggings, so maybe I’ve done it 3 times in a year.
I want to get a holder that would go around my neck for it when I go out for a walk. Something that weights nothing.
They have ones that go around your arm? The neck would be uncomfortable I would think.
No one’s tried to steal from me since I was 12 years old, when I had a wallet in my jacket side pocket.
Since then, I’ve always kept my wallet in my front right pocket, and thanks to men’s clothing, that pocket can also fit a large cell phone in there with it.
Occasionally I have it in a jacket side pocket, but then I tend to be extra alert about it. But mainly no one’s tried.
If I were worried and didn’t have such a pocket, I might get a phone case that had a hook for a cable, and then attach it to my belt with a serious cable so it couldn’t be stolen. Or carry a second phone with a tracker for the first phone, and 911 on speed dial. And maybe an extra tracker on the first phone that stays on even without phone power. Just try snatching that phone.
