What kind of gatekeeping annoys you?

I don’t read Manga but I read a lot of comic books and graphic novels. It’s a media like anything else. I really don’t know what defines “literature” but I agree with you.

I said I don’t read Manga but I’m about to start Attack on Titan.

I’ll buy that Manga is literature. Different strokes for different folks. Manga has sorta kinda replaced the graphic novels of 8–10 years ago. It appeals to a certain demographic, and let them enjoy their entertainment.

But I wouldn’t expect a Pulitzer Prize in literature to be awarded for Manga in the next 20 years.
