Have you ever gotten in touch with friends you had from long ago?

This last 6 months or so have given me contact with several people from my past. One was a girl I worked with and was good friends with from about 1995. She happened to call another long time friend of ours while I was visiting and then my wife and I got together for lunch.

Just the other day, my roommate from when I was in the Navy called me out of the blue. I lost touch with him long ago and he tracked me down. We talked for hours. He’s in New Mexico and I’m in North Carolina so visiting is unlikely but at least now I have his number!

What, if any, experiences like this have you had?
