He passed yesterday at age 65.
I loved him in Tombstone, Batman Forever, The Doors and a few others.

My favorite memory of him is from his most recent bittersweet appearance in Top Gun, Maverick.
Val Kilmer in Top Gun in the volley ball beach scene.
My first thought was Willow too. Madmartigan. I watched it many times with my kids, enjoying it for its own sake.
Jim Morrison for me.
He actually spent a lot of time here in SW Mo.
Heartbreaking. He was an incredible Jim Morrison, but I think I agree with @Caravanfan. While I hated the Top Gun Remake, that scene with Val was powerful. Also Heat was another phenomenal film. He was a supporting actor but delivered a great performance.
He was pretty close to me in age, so like millions of women, our appreciation for his talent came after, “OMG he’s hot!”
Val was a professional; talented in his chosen occupation.
I won’t belittle that by attempting to rate his individual performances.
And to clarify, OMG he was hot.
My condolences to his family, and other fans.
LOL @Patty_Melt Yesss…he was hot! He died way too young, but apparently he’d been battling cancer (throat?) for a decade. RIP
Thank you @kevbo1 for that link. I haven’t read it yet but look forward to reading about his craziness!
I only know him from that one Batman movie.
