Should we call Trump's plan the Old Deal?

Asked by LostInParadise (32334points) 1 day ago

All of Trump’s “innovations” are just reversals of reforms initiated by Franklin Roosevelt to help us get out of the Great Depression.

Put blame where it is due. FDR fixed issues that Herbert Hoover (Republican) caused.

We need to start referring to Trump as Donald T. Hoover.

Trump and GOP are headed for 1793 . . . only rich landowners voted back then.

Not people of color

Not Native Americans

Not women

BUT you can pay $5 Million for citizenship . . .(maybe Putin and Xi would be interested – - multiple times)

His plan is riddled with gilded age mentality. He is reverting to thoughts from the 1800’s when the US was NOT the greatest in the world.
Putting up economic walls to isolate the country is moving it backwards.
Then there is the “lets remove all vision of our atrocities or references to women, nationality, etc.” and show favor to White Male supremacy.

He will certainly go down in history with a negative light as the worst president and worst world political figure.
