What will the depression be like in our modern era?

I picture kids on the streets wearing rags and trying to peddle newspapers, rich guys with long curly mustache’s that tie damsles to train tracks…

We should be able to once again purchase bootleg alcohol from Speakeasies in Chicago.

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m looking forward to the marijuana surplus.

The only thing I’m worried about is whether or not we’ll be able to get efficient renewable energy sources before it’s too late. If we don’t invent them now, it’ll be harder and harder, and eventually impossible, as we lose our stepping stone of oil to develop it. I feel like we can probably weather any other problems, in time.

I’m afraid that the vitriolic anger Americans feel towards people of the opposite political party right now may be a tinderbox ready to blow. In the last depression, people killed themselves. In this one, I fear they will turn on each other.
