A Followup on The Doggie Story?
I seem to have lost the original question I posted, so… if it’s to be deleted, then do it.
October 1st at 5:00pm was the appointment. T-Bone was put to sleep, I was there with him every step of the way. Even at age 13, his heart was still going strong. It took all of the original vial of “whatever” plus an additional 25% to take him under completely.
I’m keeping only the collar. The rest always belong to him, and we’ve held onto him for long enough.
When I left him, he looked just like he was sleepy and worn out. Here comes the bad times for me. Anyway, I had a lot of e-mails and messages from people, and I apologize if I never replied to any of them… each and every one made me cry and I had to get away from the computer.
I still get messages about it, and so, this is kind of the “closure” I guess you guys were asking for. I’m going to Mom’s house now. Boom.

So sorry for your loss. It hurts to say goodbye to a favorite pet.
Just remember that you did what you needed to do for your friend. I hope that you can focus on the good times! You were a great dad!
I’m sending all my good thoughts to you. Remember the love he gave you and the happy times. Cry all you need to.
My heart goes out to you. I am sorry you had to go through this.
I’m so very sorry for your loss. T-Bone has one of the best ‘people’ he could have had. You gave him a good life and he loved you for that. Remember him when he was strong and healthy. And I truly believe you’ll see him again.
My sincere condolences. So very sad.
You did the right thing, LL. My thoughts are with you.
Aww…it’s hard. Good thoughts while you go through rough times.
Jeez. The Nikon D60 is a nice camera. For those curious, there’s a photo of T-Bone posted on the front page of ProjectBlack.com now. Thanks fellas.
A beautiful, very loved pup.
Man.. reading that made me cry a little for you. I’m so sorry.. I know how tough and heart-wrenching it is. Big hugs!
