Why did my MacBook startup with grey blank screen?

I was watching a video and its starting acting slow, so I forced to turn it on and off then it shows up grey/white blank screen. I’ve tried to take battery out and turn it on again, but still none was working.. How can get it fix?

You can use these startup keys to try to boot into safe mode, or something.

If you’ve got the original discs you can see if it’ll boot off of those and use the terminal to diagnose.
