Can you recommend a nice, reasonable hotel in Paris that is well located?

I’m going to Paris for a few days in early June with friends. Looking for hotel suggestions in a nice neighborhood, either on the right or left bank. Montmartre would be preferable but not necessary. Would prefer to hear from people with direct experience – I can do the guidebook/internet search thing myself.

We stayed at the Hotel Andrea and it was perfect. Two blocks from the Centre de Georges Pompidou.

I know hotel tour d’auvergne in montmartre which is located few steps from opera, montmartre, gare du nord and pigalle. Check it out! If not here is a list of hotel in paris and most of the hotels here appear in this luxury travel magazine. Have a look!
