Animated gif manipulation on OS X...

Asked by jrpowell (40562points) August 11th, 2007

Basically, I have a animated gif that I need to rotate 90 degrees and place that on the top of a jpg image. The gif is transparent, and I have Photoshop.

Any easy way to do this without fucking with every frame. It is about 240 frames long.

Thanks.

Open the gif with Quicktime player (version 7). Then, click on ‘Window’, then ‘Show Movie Properties’. There you will see tracks for all the data. Sound & video. Click on the video track. Down below, it will show you all the data. You will see a category, Flip/Rotate, with 4 options. Left to Right, Up & Down, clockwise & counterclockwise. Just click any one of those buttons to change the rotation. Then, close the window & save the file. I’m guessing with photoshop, it’s as simple as opening the image, then creating a new layer & choosing the gif file.
