I’m not.
I’ve pretty-much abandoned my portfolio, and gone back to holding up liquor stores.
If you’re interested, I say wait till you start seeing small steady increases again, then buy the hell outta something.
I forget where I read it but, I read that trends show that stocks increase up to 8 months before its seen on market. So, buy low on the rise, and when it booms… Well, then you and me both will be laughing our asses of all the way to the bank. Ya know?
Yes, energy ones that have dropped in price due to overall market situation, but they are solid and will increase, because they are not part of the financial sector fiasco. However, these are long term investments, not short term.

Here is what the late Will Rogers had to say, regarding stocks:
“Don’t gamble; take all your savings and buy some good stock and hold it ‘til it goes up, then sell it. If it don’t go up, don’t buy it.”
I buy every day. Usually through dividend re-investment. Stocks have dropped but my dividend dollars buy more.
My wealthy friend is treating this as a fire sale—he’s been shorting the stocks he can, and using his profits to buy more stock.
It’s fairly well known that a savvy investor can make money whether the market goes up or down, and he’s a very savvy investor.
The person who operates my Simple IRA keeps telling me to look at the bright side – I’m buying stock at rock bottom clearance prices right now.
Who ever bought Steve and Berry’s stock at thouse close out prices must be kicking them selves now ey.
Just be careful and you’ll be fine.
