Does the new trick involving fring and hacking an ivoice3 ( to make phone calls on iPod touch) work on the 1st generation iPod?

1st gen has no audio input(mic).

That’s why you’re supposed to get the ivoice3 and hack it so it will work as a mic.
And it has no Internet functionality, no compatible OS, no color touch-sensitive screen.
BTW, you also cannot run Ubuntu on a 1965 Waring blender.
I’m also interested in this question. I know what jailbroken ipod touches used to work with microphones in the audio-out jack… I’ll google and see what I come up with.

I can make calls from my iPod to another phone but the 2nd generation iPod is supposed to support microphone. Is this why you need to mess around with the ivoice3? Will it work on 1st generation iPod touch?
