What are some alternate spellings for the name "Bahia"?
I’m trying to find a friend of mine from long ago named Jim Lott, but after about 30 minutes or so of googling, facebook and myspace I can’t yield any results. I decided to go for searching for his sisters (He has three, though I believe I’ve only met 2).
One of them (the younger) was named “Bahia”, only, they didn’t spell it like that. The spelling of her name, I want to say, had a “J” and a “G” in it somewhere.
What are other ways to spell “Bahia”?

Baía. It’s the Spanish word for bay, just as Bahia is Portuguese for bay. Both are pronounced the same.
Is it pronounced Ba-he-a? If yes it could be Bahea, Beheya, Bahiya, or Bajia.
Yes “Ba-hee-ya” or “Ba-hee-a”
Bahá’u’lláh is the prophet for the Bahá’í faith. Maybe if you search it with the accents.
Anyone that names their child Bahá’u’lláh is just cruel.
Baha’u’lla’h’s given name was Husayn Ali.
Bahá’u’lláh translates to “Glory of God” not such a bad name.
i suppose. I had a hard time learning to spell my last name in preschool. I’d imagine Bahá’u’lláh would be no easy feat for a young child. Plus having to spell it for people when they don’t know how to pronounce it would be frustrating.
lol, i always felt bad for Arnold Shwazeneggar, er Schwartzanagger…um Shwitzinnogger, um, well… I always felt bad for Ah-nold
There is a song by Joao Gilberto in Portuguese that talks about the state of Bahia that mentions when Bahia was spelled with a H. Naturally the song is called “Bahia com H”....“Bhia with an H”. Probably no help but interesting just the same.
