What is adobe flash player and how does it work ?

I know I seem to need it on alot of websites. I know I don’t have on iPhone and I do have on my PC. Is it a big program?

It is not a big program. It gives you compatibility with lots of website features. Also there is a Flash version for the iPhone ready and just waiting Apples approval.
