How can I keep my power cords, charging docks, and various other electronics related cords from taking over all of my extra storage space?

And how do I keep them together without them getting all tangled? How do you store your plethora of cords and such?

I use twisty ties because I’m ghetto.
But it looks like the Container Store has a bunch of options.
I’d imagine most office supplies stores would have stuff too.

I’ve become a big fan of zip ties. You just bundle up all of the cords and then zip ‘em together. It works great if you don’t plan on moving them, but it can be a hassle if you take the cords with you.

one thing I try to do is be sure to discard those cords when the electronics they go with die.

@nimis, indeed, cable turtles work wonders.

If you’re just looking for a way to store them between uses, I just saw a great idea: Hang a pocket-type shoe organizer on the inside of a closet door and store one charger per pocket. If it’s your coat closet, you can also store gloves and hats in the pockets. Labeling the pockets would be helpful!

I think it came from Real Simple magazine…they always have some good ideas!

I saw this one on a tv show. Save the cardborad center of your toilet papers. Roll up each cord and store inside the empty paper roll. You can even write directly on each one so you can identify it later.

You might want to checkout POS Supply for accessoires to help you organize cables.
