Has joining the Borg…erm, I mean collective…made you more or less inquisitive in real life?
Do you find yourself (in terms of question-asking) satiated by the collective?
Or does having this site available at your fingertips, merely give you an excuse/incentive to think up more questions in general?
Both? Neither?
Are you more of a question-answerer than a question-askerer?
If so, has joining Fluther made you more or less inclined
to answer questions in real life?

I’d say neither.. I’ve always been really inquisitive. The difference now is that I have a place to ask questions about which I’ve been wondering.
I’d say I’m more of a question-answerer, mainly because the Google Oracle is so proficient in handing me the answers I seek. I sometimes use Fluther when I’m bored to find subjects to research, in order to answer people’s questions. I enjoy researching, so in a geeky way, it’s fun for me.
No change, I mean i answer a lot more questions then I ask, but i still consider myself very inquisitive.
Its just now when i think up some question thats been bothering me for god knows how long, the next thought that pops into my head is,“oh shit, why dont i just go ask fluter? ”
Neither. This site passes time for me during breaks and boring waits for food and such. There is however some real “reaching” that happens on this site.
I like it but I hope that it never consumes me to the point where I have to explain myself.
I’ve always been inquisitive which suggests more intake than output.
I do find myself thinking of more questions since Fluther, but this may be because seeing some questions often triggers another question in my mind.
Because of the design of flutter (siblings, etc) I find myself browsing and looking at responses to questions that seem interesting but hadn’t crossed my mind.
I’m as curious as a cat by nature.
A friend from another DB told me they were here “full-time” and so I came over to check it out. Nice.
So I’m here and there and curious all over.
I would say neither. I spend a lot of time at another Q & A site that I visited for years before finding Fluther. So I doubt Fluther made an impact that is greater than the other site. But I doubt that there was any impact at all between both sites.
Probably not. The questions come on their own, but it is nice to have a place to ask them. One thing I find is that the process of formulating a question forces me to collect my thoughts on a subject. I try to maintain a balance between question asking and answering.
I’ve always sought answers to the big questions, but you just don’t get that many opportunities to discuss these types of topics with a group of smart, well informed people in “real life”. While I may not find the answer to those questions here, I can collect more information to adjust or refine my own opinions. In terms of usage, I’m more of an answerer than a questioner, but I mostly think of it as a discussion.
much more inquisitive.
I thank all the people here for it to. you all have opened my eyes and mind to things i had not been opened to.
And in the end, even though I found out I was right. It was a fun trip. Just kidding, I am the better for it.
it’s made me more inquisitive and more attuned to what other ppl think. I used to think I was alone in a lot of things – glad to see I’m not.
The same amount. I’m sure if you’ve read a few of my posts you’ll see I’m kind of odd and I think, a lot. About everything. if anything it’s changed how I would word questions to others for discussion, it’s helped me organize the things I’m curious about for presentation. As opposed to you know, pondering things for hours with tangents and run arounds.
I’ve been asking questions my whole life, much to the chagrin of my parents, my friends, and anyone else who has had the misfortune of meeting me and being hammered with my endless succession of nonsensical questions. I don’t think they are nonsensical, for in this life, I realize I will always have more questions than answers, and if I don’t ask, then how am I to know? Of course, a lot of the answers I receive simply beg more questions. I am the proverbial small child asking “WHY?” until you want to slap the little bugger into next week. These question sites are a boon to my existence, and since the moderators have ‘edited’ my questions a few times, I must be doing something right. It’s all about disturbing the comfortable and comforting the disturbed, and more to the point, finding the answers to the things hardly anyone else wants to consider. There are no dumb questions, but there are plenty of dumb answers!
I say lighten up, and have fun, and ask questions. I’ll never have the answer to everything, but I can damn well try.
