Would you support overturning Roe v. Wade if it meant more government intrusion in your life?
I would like to ask this question of pro-life supporters. The is question is not about whether abortion is right or wrong. The basis of Roe v. Wade is that it upholds due process rights under the 14th amendment. Its been argued that overturning Roe v. Wade would open up the door to government intrusion into areas that are now considered protected by “zones of privacy,” such as marital relations. Would you support the overturning of Roe v. Wade if it meant that the government could have a say and hold you accountable for what goes on in the privacy of your own home? Sites you visit on the internet? Books you check out of the library? Medical records? How you raised your children?

If you want to find answers from real anti-abortion folks ( I hate the phrase pro-life, we’re all pro life) ask at askville.com. You will find a lot more conservative folks there than you will here.
Do you believe it! I feel cool now. I broke the guidelines with a link to a competitor. I got a very nice message about why I was moderated. No hard feelings. My bad.
Whew…I thought for a moment you’d gone over to the dark side! Couldn’t imagine you saying anything rude : )
I don’t support the overturning of Roe v. Wade in the first place.
Yay! I’m glad.
Even though you linked to a competitor, it did seem relevant to the question.
Plus, everyone knows Fluther is better anyway. ;)
@Judi: : )
I can’t help but notice that no one has actually answered the question. Surely there is someone here that is anti-choice? (I hate to term it pro-life or anti-abortion…I’d say we are all both, in general.)
