Which Xbox 360 game should I get next?

I can’t decide if I should get Gears of War (the first one, which I have played some of but never owned), Fable II, Dead Space, or Fallout 3.
My favorite games of all time are Mass Effect, Silent Hill 2, and Legend of Zelda: twilight princess. And Call of Duty 4. I think you can see my predicament. I like everything.

There are tons of new games coming out, Fallout 3, Resistance 2, Gears of War 2, Call of Duty 5, Little Big Planet, and more. My advice would be wait for some of these games to come out, the rent a few of them and see how they are. Buy the one you like best from renting.
I say wait for next month and get Left 4 Dead
Well, Fable 2 is out, Gears of War is really, really, cheap now, Dead Space is getting mixed reviews and has little to no play-back, and Fallout 3 still upcoming (sure, still a week, but I consider that still enough time for something to go wrong, look at LittleBigPlanet)
I guess it should come down to weather you want something that is very RPG now (Fable) or something were you get a chainsaw and walk forward, thus winning the game (Gears of War) Something else to consider is what your friends are playing, seeing as 360 is really big on the whole “community” thing.
Me, personally would spend the 40$ or 60$ on a bunch of games on XBox Arcade, rather then just one game. Seems like a smarter choice for me, or I would spend it on extra stuff for the games I already own.
Portal. It’s old, but you have to play it.
Fallout 3, and Far Cry 2.
Now.
Portal was brilliant. I played it on PC in one night at my friend’s house. I think from the sound of it I might go with Fallout 3 next week… not sure yet though.
Either way thanks for all the input though!
@MrMontpetit LittleBigPlanet is PS3-exclusive.
To answer the original question- get Fable II
RENT Gears of War, finish it (maybe play it online for a while) a MUST
GOW 2 is coming out, BUY that one if you want to buy a game
Out of Fable II, Dead Space, and Fallout 3 I’d say Dead Space is a MUST (rent at least) but they have little or no replay value. (depends on how you look at it, I still play Atari/Genesis/Snes game on my PC)
I haven’t tried the “Gaming” netflix (gameflix, blockbuster etc.) but I’d give that a shot, you save SO MUCH money.
I bought Bioshock (PC) Alone in the dark (PC/WORST GAME EVER) and STALKER (PC) and haven’t touched 2 of them ($100 right there) but if you pay (what is it like $14 a month) then you can try all the new games that come out.
Also, BUY “BRAID” and “Castle Crashers” and also I highly recommend “World of Goo”
(on PC)
You can download a free demo here
With the economy the way it is, I’m seriously thinking about ONLY buying the games that I Really really really want to spend $50—$60 on
That is why I still don’t have DEAD SPACE and it’s been out on PC for TWO WHOLE DAYS!!!
You have the exact same tastes that I do: FPS and RPGs, with extra bonuses if they have great stories.
Fallout 3. No brainer. I’ve already pre-ordered my copy.
You really do need to play GOW, though. It’s great. Play it co-op.
FPS and RPG are the best types of games, duh.
All but gears of war. Fable II is awesome!
@windex
OMG! I LOVE CASTLE CRUSHERS! OMG OMG OMG! I PLAYED THE DEMO AND WAS UTTERLY ADDICTED! I spend at least five hours a week (which is a lot for me) just looking for those missing damn weapons, people say they don’t exist… yet, but I refuse to believe them!
I loved that game so much, I actually spent the money to get that Alien Hominid just to get the character in CC, haven’t played it since.
Just thought I would throw in my 77 words on the subject.
@jtvoar: Yea, if you live anywhere near California you should come…I mean go to comicon next year. You can meet Tom, Dan and the gang (ppl from newgrounds.com who made the games)
I have pictures with them <—me so cool…lol
Fable 2 is pretty sweet.
Fallout 3 is a no brainer.
I’ll get around to Dead Space when I have time.
But since the question is “which one first,” I would just get Gears just because you can probably buy it cheap used and then you’ll have a little experience with the mechanics when the sequel comes out in November.
I think I might end up getting a copy of GOW cheap, and Fallout 3 at the same time. Thanks everyone! I’ll probably end up getting Fable II eventually, but the one after Fallout will definitely be Dead Space.
