You know, the one with the armadillo man, the butler, and the guacamole?
Why is he afraid of guacamole and even if that did make sense, how is it supposed to be funny?
Bonus questions: who writes this shit, who approves this shit, and who OKs the budget for this shit?

Do you have a link to the commercial?
Why do you think there is a yearly service charge of $20.00 even if you (that means I) never run up credit-card debt? Did you see the recent Microsoft ads with Seinfeld and B Gates? They were idiotic.
People that think by asking “joe Smo” on the street what is funny. By the way, those “people” are also the people you see huddled around burning cans of trash and wear 15 coats in the middle of summer.
That pretty much answers everything there, IMO.
He’s not afraid of the guac, he’s just surprised the idea is that Armadillo man is so strong and heroic, but his loving wife pops up and he squeals like a baby and curls up.
I chuckled. I probably won’t on the second viewing BUT, I take jokes for what they are and just roll with it.
Huh. I don’t really get it, either. Maybe he isn’t supposed to be afraid of the guacamole, but just got scared when his wife popped out of nowhere? And maybe they thought it would be funny that a supposed super hero could scare so easily? ...‘Cause… armadillos scare… easily…?
Edit: Not laugh inspiring no matter what, though. For me, anyway.
You have to understand the traits of real armadillo’s. When a real armadillo is startled they curl up into their very hard shell. They also have a tendency to jump. When you see a dead armadillo on the street, there is a good chance that the car would have driven right over it, but it got startled and jumped up while the car was on top of it. That is the humor in the commercial. An animal that gets scared or startled easily would not make a very good superhero.
all i know is i really want guacamole now. dammit PnT!!
ISN’T IT CONFUSING? PEOPLE WILL BUY THINGS!
Whoever gave the “okay” needs to be fired.
“Who writes this shit?”
That would be the ad agency DDB.
It’s not all bad, they did that Bud Light ‘Flying’ commercial which was relatively funny, and those Volkswagen night drive ads which did a reasonable job of setting the atmosphere.
I wonder if they got drunk, or if it was the interns who did the stuff for Capital One.
Few commercials are funny when you think of it.
@Mangus: How about this one? I can’t believe that was actually on TV. Ergh.
^ If you’ve never been to Britain, that commercial does not represent us.
@richardhenry :: It could be worse.
