Why do streetlights turn off when I pass them?

Asked by PHerr (7points) October 25th, 2008

It happens too ramdomly to be coincidental. Has been happening for years.

My friend, and I use that term loosely, says it’s because Aliens are trying to communicate with him. But only to him. Wackjob For you it would have to be something else.

My sister and my daughters do that too. I call it their “magnetic personalities” They also kill watch batteries. They thought they were crazy until my sister told a doctor about it and he pulled a book off the shelf and showed her a name for it. She just forgot what it was called.

they don’t….you just happen to pass when they turn off. It happens to all (or most)of us. As a kid, I thought it was me.

Re: Pete’‘s link…And also asked much earlier – too hard to find on Fluther search. Is this one of these orbiting questions, like the unique re-gifted fruitcake?

Here’s an interesting link on the subject: SLI Effect

It happens to me, too (even in the pitch black, not when they are scheduled to go off).

If I had street lights here, I would check out the paranormal site theory.
