Can you just look at an avatar and know who has answered your question? Does someone changing his/her avatar throw you off?

What if we all had the same avatar?

Yes, yes, and NO!
I don’t actually mind when people change theirs, it just takes a little time to adjust.
Yeah, like I got used to DeadDolly looking so bloody dead and she doesn’t quite look so dead anymore. But I can’t talk. I’ve been changing mine quite frequently for Halloween.
I, for one, would love to see a sea of Pulp Fiction avatars.
johnpowell was not always a daisy. that is all.
@squirbel: in more ways than one…..
Some avatars are instantly identifiable, but I’ll read the attached name the first time I encounter a given avatar in a given thread. From that point on, I tend to assume that the same name goes with subsequent iterations of the avatar. It drives me crazy when people use default avatars instead of uploading their own. I end up attributing two or three people’s posts to a single person. I know I’ve missed something when people start arguing with themselves.
I admit I find it a little annoying because I come to identify someone with their avatar.
It’s akin to a friend having long blonde hair one day and short red hair the next.
Disconcerting – but you get used to it – until they do it again.
Yeah, I changed mine for a day and didn’t recognize my own posts, even though I changed it to a closeup of my face.
I’ve actually been thinking about changing mine, but I’m afraid no one will remember me.
we just want to shake up ur world…
mine will constantly change, tho will always be horror themed.
generalspecific, me too! i’ve had the same one since i first started visiting fluther in july…
@General & Lachica: Don’t worry…it may take a few exposures, but we’ll figure out who you are!
