What movie is this scene from?

I have no idea. Sounds creepy though.

I have a memory of something similar… except she’s crying and when she turns there’s a little monster guy eating her sitting in her back. In a cavity..he ate out.

Dunno, what the fuck it is but it stuck with me.

Sounds like Ghost Ship….in the beginning of the movie there is a scene on the deck of a cruise ship and everyone is dancing, there is music playing…maybe even a lady singing (its been a few years since i last watched it). Anyways there is a “freak accident” that causes a metal cable to rip across the deck and all the people get instantly sliced in half…...

Definitely Disney. I would start there.

Sounds like High School Musical.

By “cut in half”, I mean sliced vertically (along the body).

@cheeb – Funny you’d mention Ghost Ship – I watched that scene last night, and that’s what prompted me to ask about it. It wasn’t that movie, though.

@Mac – I should check out The Wizard of Gore. I was born in the late eighties, so that movie was definitely out by then.

@asmonet – Ugh. Isn’t it weird how images like that get stuck in your head? I can’t physically make sense of the woman’s wound, and I don’t think I ever did as a child. That’s partially why it bothers me – I can’t remember exactly what was so horrifying to me, and I want to see it again.

Yeah that’s the problem with mine. I don’t know what the fuck was going on even now I don’t know what could have possibly have been going on. And no one ever seems to remember it the closest I’ve gotten is other people remembering the same scene as me.

@dd – I can’t really remember much else. Everything is so vague, sorry!

I remember that it seemed that the woman was going to perform, but when her chair magically turned around with the swell of the music, the gruesome sight was revealed. The wound was clean, not staining her sparkling dress.

For some reason it reminds me of Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night 2 (1987)

There’s a scene where Mary Lou is on stage receiving her crown but someone drops a stink bomb on her and her dress lights on fire. But I don’t think that’s the one you’re looking for.
