Ladies, how much makeup do you own?

Boxes. And boxes.

I own a lot more than I use.

I usually just use mascara, eyeliner, and blush. If I’m feeling really adventurous, I use eyeshadow and foundation.

Truckloads.

I went through a phase where I looked like the Sephora catalog for about 4 years. Now I’ve scaled it back but usually it’s more natural or greens.

Thousands of dollars worth! I love make-up, I guess I’m a make-up whore. I can’t pass Sephora without buying something. I have bought all the Mary Kay stuff, all the Laura Mercier stuff and even a bunch of the La Praire stuff. It drives my hubby crazy

a chapstick! That’s it! And it’s lost somewhere around the house! Have you seen it??

I’ve got a bag of the stuff that I really, really need to throw out. I think it is from high school. No, I know it is. The problem is that I don’t use it often enough to run through it.

I own a decent amount, but nothing too out there. I think, more than anything, I own a lot of eyeshadow colors. I used to own a ton of lipstick, but I have a tendency to lose makeup.

I used to own a lot of crap that I never wore. Now I just have my little bare escentuals kit, mascara, and a lipstick that I put on occasionally. I don’t wear makeup very often, so owning a bunch doesn’t make sense to me.

the amount of makeup I own fluctuates. Sometimes I go through phases where I use a lot every day for months. During those times I use concealer, mascara, eye shadow (usually 2 or 3 colors) and glitter, lots of glitter.

Very little. What you see is what you get, pretty much.

I own a small amount but I don’t really wear too much makeup. I really just put stuff on my eyes. I have recently started wearing powder, but I usually only do that when I’m going out.

None. Unless a jar of Carmex counts.

@Nimis: Then how were you planning to bat your eye’s all fetching like at me?

Crap. Totally forgot that was on my To-Do List.
Guess I could pick up a pair of these for the occasion.

One tube of lip gloss. That’s it.

Thanks for the updates. I have a small enough collection that I can keep it all in a little square wicker basket. Recently, I visited a makeup fan site and I was astounded to see how much some people own! As it is, I don’t wear it everyday, so my collection seems to be sufficient for me. I have 4 lipsticks and several lipglosses – but only one pair of lips!

2 large dresser drawers full and 2 ‘train’ cases full. I’m a whore as well. I love make up.

Not very much! I hardly ever wear make-up unless I am going someplace special. Then only eye make-up and a little blush.
