PDF Viewer?

Asked by anonyjelly16 (747points) October 28th, 2008

Does anyone know of a PDF reader/viewer that is better (i.e. faster) than Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader? I have to review a lot of documents and it seems like Adobe runs slow. (CoverFlow and QuickLook on the Mac work great but I don’t have a Mac at work).

Thank you.

Foxit is by far the best one.

Foxit

I’ve used a bunch of different ones and foxit has the smallest memory footprint.

Sumatra PDF and a Portable Version if you fancy. It is what I use on machines where I can’t stand Adobe. Free. Open Source. :D

Hey! Foxit has a portable version too.

If you need a full-on PDF editor, we’ve been using bluebeam at work for a few years now: it’s excellent. Not so excellent if all you need is a lightweight PDF reader =)

Take a look at this Editors Rating at CNET’s Download.com.

++Foxit, it’s not perfect but it’s better than the bloated adobe reader.

The Evince PDF Viewer has worked very well for me, and I belive epdfviewer was quite good (and especially fast) as well.
