Are there any asian lions in zoos within driving distance of st. louis missouri?

I’ve never heard of an Asian lion, so I will follow this question to see what it is.

edit—after some quick googling I found this It’s a term I hadn’t heard before. Thanks for teaching me something new! I hope you get an answer to your question and can see one up close. Welcome to fluther!!

There was a leopard spotted in your area. You may want to research the man in the article and ask him if he knows where you can view the lion you’d like to see.

Also, the St Louis Zoo has African lions.

They look alot like African Lions… here’s the difference, male asian lions have smaller manes and a fold of skin down their bellies. The big difference is in the social structure, which in India is small female run family groups. Why do you need to see them in person? The animals at the Philly Zoo look sad and insane to me although I did see some giant tortoises getting it on once, they looked happy ; ).

i hope there isnt….. agree with why do you need to see them in person.
