Music.
And long deep talks with people who I find interesting or who have a unique outlook on life.
And people who have made it through ridiculously hard obstacles and lived to tell about it.
Aaaaand drugs.
:)
The iMac inspired me to get into graphic designing and computing. No joke! I love my life.
Trees, plants and nature in general. For design however, walking around downtown looking at old decayed buildings and bricks, pavement, graffiti, filth and litter, always does the trick.
Sofas… My blog is pretty much the only thing I have designed.
What forestGeek says is pretty much what does it for me too.
Gorgeous women.
Seriously.
Not kidding… and exceptional fashion.
forestgeek is so right, I can’t believe I forgot nature!
Everything in my life and around me.
Music as well
I am with delirum on this one. I have many, many pieces of art portraying women of all sorts. I can honestly say that every woman I have ever met has some beauty to her. That inspires me.
Its the curves, I swear. Its amazing!
The mall or any public place for that matter. I like watching people.
I also like to take a walk through the park.
For anything visual: Water and natural light. I love being by the sea – or lake, river or stream – but I can get little “look at that!” moments anywhere, and it’s usually do with how sunlight/moonlight and shadow hit something. Oh, and I love watching sunrises, sunsets and clouds!
In general: People! Their appearances, mannerisms, expressions, opinions, feelings…..
The sky. A turbulent sky is endlessly fascinating to me. Like wildflower, I also frequently get a “chill” from sun/shadow, especially at twilight.
blogs. nature. walking down the street. watching interesting people. fashion. changing your disposition. sleeping and dreaming. conversations with people that are different than you. cool books. googling things that come to the top of your head.
I enjoy derivative work (most is anyway) so I find inspiration in all printer matter: billboards, signs in train platforms, on buses, labels of all sorts, newspaper & magazines. Some of this results in collages, other in scripts for performance art,
etc.
Oh, and like Eric, fear…
- “What has kept you inspired as an artist?
– “A fear of boredom. Just a mortal fear of boredom.”
Eric Fischl (1948—), American painter
