How do I upgrade my USB ports? Is there software?

I recently refurbished my computer and took off all of the drivers and such. My USB’s work, but they are not 2.0…hence, they are slow as sh*t! Talk to me…

USB 1 vs 2 is a hardware thing. Software can’t upgrade them.
