Iphone apps updates?

Does anyone else have trouble updating the apps on an iphone? They will download, show to be installing, then give me a message about being available for download the next time I log into iTunes. I can download new apps without any issues, and I can uninstall apps and download the upgraded versions…I just can’t update. Yes, I’ve rebooted.

Yeah, i’ve had a similar thing. What seems to fix it is on iTunes on your computer, sign out of the iTunes store (Store -> Sign Out), sign back in, plug iPhone back in and let it sync once. Its annoying, but i think its just some kind of authorization bug in between the iPhone, iTunes and the iTunes store.
If you have bought different apps using different IDs (i.e. you’ve downloaded apps via your Macbook which has one user ID, and via your iPhone which has a different one), then you should try to, as philo says above, sign out of iTunes and sign back in using the other ID and try updating under that one.
I had this same issue, and logging in under the other ID fixed it.
@jholler have you tried my suggestion?
